AYLMER MINOR HOCKEY ASSOCIATION
President's Messagedefault_horizontal_line

Well, this year’s hockey season is in full swing...I hope everyone is enjoying their new teams and having fun this year.  AMHA has a total of approximately 250 players, playing on 19 different teams.  We have 2 IP teams, 1 Jr. Tyke, 1 Sr. Tyke, 1 Novice Rep, 1 Novice LL, 1 Atom Rep, 3 Atom LL, 1 Pee Wee Rep, 1 Pee Wee LL, 1 Bantam Rep, 1 Pee Wee LL, 1 Midget Rep, 2 Midget LL, and 1 Juvenile Rep.  It is a lot of work to get things started but we seem to be off to another great season.

On December 26th, 2009 we are again holding our annual Reunion Game and Dance.  This has always been a great night of hockey and socializing afterwards, this year being on a Saturday night, I expect even larger crowds than before.  For your tickets, please contact the committee chair, Jessica Wilson

I am a big proponent of open communication and to that end I think it is very important for everyone involved with AMHA to know what is happening with your hockey organization.  I will send out regular e-mails to all AMHA parents, if for some reason you are not getting these e-mails, please let me know at president@aylmerflames.com and I will add you to the mass e-mail list.

We are getting into full swing with our tournaments...we host 4 tournaments a season, a Rep tournament November 20, 21, 22, a Local League tournament December 27, 28, 29, 30, an AE tournament March 19, 20, 21 and another Rep tournament April 1, 2, 3, 4.  So far the November tournament is full and surprising all the other tournaments are filling up very quickly.  If you are able to help with any tournament, I’m sure your time would be greatly appreciated.  If you can volunteer some hours, please contact Karen Benner

This year’s flamewear has arrived and can be picked up at the arena on Saturday Oct 31st between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.  If you did order something, please try to attend during this time to pick up your order.

Most everyone should have already received their fundraising tickets...if you haven’t please contact us ASAP and we’ll see that you get them.  The box will be at the arena starting November 1st to deposit your sold tickets.

Finally with flu season here with vengeance, including local cases of H1N1, please remember to use universal precautions such as good hand washing, covering your cough and most importantly...if you are sick, please stay home. Your health is more important to us than anything else (hockey can always wait).

Like always, if you have any questions or concerns...please do not hesitate to contact me at hzehr@amtelecom.net
